There was no established process when I joined the company, so I created a structured approach to guide my work. This included defining key objectives, analyzing the current state and surrounding factors, documenting each step, designing a new plan, and implementing it systematically.

Ali is hiring a contractor to help set up a design team, define Jira processes, oversee handovers, create design guidelines, and assist in recruiting designers. The goal is to streamline workflows, improve communication, and enhance overall design capabilities and productivity at NayaPay.

Team structuring

The design team in a fintech company should be structured to include roles such as product designers, UX researchers, and visual designers, each focusing on different aspects of the user experience. Clear communication channels between design, development, and product teams are essential for seamless collaboration. Establishing a lead designer to guide the team and prioritize projects ensures alignment with business goals. Regular design reviews and feedback loops will help maintain consistency and drive continuous improvement.

Outcome

By designing all of this, we create a blueprint that allows for efficiency, clarity, and accountability within the NAYAPAY ecosystem. This approach enables continuous improvement of these processes and ensures we hire the right people for the right jobs, fostering significant growth within the company. 



As a result, the NAYAPAY design team leaves a positive impact. Currently, NAYAPAY is the second-largest wallet app in Pakistan, reflecting our success.
